I don't get you exactly, sorry... What do you mean?
I mean that you went into emotional mode.
Look it from developer and manufacturer POV.
Could be a language barrier issue I suppose, but they do claim "stability function" in a sentence placed directly above a picture of the adapter being used on a GH4...It does seem a bit like false advertising if they have no plans to make OIS of the canon lenses work with the GH4.
FYI, OIS support doesn't work for any of the native MFT lenses I've tried on the JVC GY-LS300's active MFT mount. No explanation so far from JVC, and I assume it's because they're still working on reverse engineering Panasonic's proprietary lens control protocols for future firmware upgrades.
KIPON's official reply to my email to them about that problem:
" Dear Ioannis,
I am sorry that as this adapter does not fit all lenses at present, we will try our best to update the firmware in future, please see compatibility list of the adapter here: http://www.kipon.com/en/articledetail.asp?id=81
Best Regards, "
more tests
got mine in the mail today, serial 488, tests to follow with 70-200f4L
Af works well with gh3 and 70-200 , OK fast and accurate. The adapter itself is very well made with minimal play.
That was a really simple update process. The new software cured the aperture unstability issues, and improved the focus speed, which is now super super impressive.
Tyson Robichaud tested the adapter too (and says that lens IS works too):
I used the Kipon AF with The 17-40F4L and it works accurately and fast too. it's already 100% usable, exepted for video AF that jitters all over the place in AF-C (fine in AF-S)
So can we confirm with confidence that if the lens has is built in it will work with this adaptor? The compatibility list talks about at but does not confirm anything about stabilisation compatibility.
At least according to this review image stabilization (IS) is supported: https://tysonrobichaudphotography.wordpress.com/2015/09/04/using-the-kipon-ef-to-m43-smart-adapter-things-are-getting-interesting-w-adorama/
He tests it using the 70-200mm f/2.8 with IS and says it the stabilization seems to work pretty well. Of course it's possible it works better on some lenses than others.
Now with speed booster integrated http://www.kipon.com/en/eWebEditor/uploadfile/20151229112157272.jpg Quite cheaper than second hand/gen 1 metabones http://www.kipon.com/en/articledetail.asp?id=88
@Vitaliy any case the speedbooster version will be available for sale in personal-view?
You mean Kipon one?
Somone tested the new Kipon Version with the integrated focval reducer. I didn't find any review's. Is the AF Software the same firmware like in the version without the focal reducer? How sharp is the focal reducer anyway?
Sorry Vitaliy..i just saw your post...yes i'm referring to kipon speedbooster version...
