Going to Shanghai in 10 days, and will try it with my GH4 there, and buy one if works, at their factory authorized dealer.
The video above is nice but a little bit too distracting...lol.
I have preordered from adorama. I'll update when i get a shipment notification. Theyve been available on ebay for a couple months but i really need no questions asked return policy. Mainly looking forward to compatibility with my canon 17-55mm efs
Really interested in this adapter. Its basically £350 cheaper than a speedbooster, and to be honest all I want it for is the IS support for canon lenses. Sadly they or their site dont make it clear which lenses they do and do not support so it might be pot luck to what does and doesnt work!
Sorry Vitaliy..i just saw your post...yes i'm referring to kipon speedbooster version...
Somone tested the new Kipon Version with the integrated focval reducer. I didn't find any review's. Is the AF Software the same firmware like in the version without the focal reducer? How sharp is the focal reducer anyway?
You mean Kipon one?
@Vitaliy any case the speedbooster version will be available for sale in personal-view?
Now with speed booster integrated http://www.kipon.com/en/eWebEditor/uploadfile/20151229112157272.jpg Quite cheaper than second hand/gen 1 metabones http://www.kipon.com/en/articledetail.asp?id=88
At least according to this review image stabilization (IS) is supported: https://tysonrobichaudphotography.wordpress.com/2015/09/04/using-the-kipon-ef-to-m43-smart-adapter-things-are-getting-interesting-w-adorama/
He tests it using the 70-200mm f/2.8 with IS and says it the stabilization seems to work pretty well. Of course it's possible it works better on some lenses than others.
So can we confirm with confidence that if the lens has is built in it will work with this adaptor? The compatibility list talks about at but does not confirm anything about stabilisation compatibility.
I used the Kipon AF with The 17-40F4L and it works accurately and fast too. it's already 100% usable, exepted for video AF that jitters all over the place in AF-C (fine in AF-S)
Tyson Robichaud tested the adapter too (and says that lens IS works too):
That was a really simple update process. The new software cured the aperture unstability issues, and improved the focus speed, which is now super super impressive.
Af works well with gh3 and 70-200 , OK fast and accurate. The adapter itself is very well made with minimal play.
got mine in the mail today, serial 488, tests to follow with 70-200f4L
more tests
KIPON's official reply to my email to them about that problem:
" Dear Ioannis,
I am sorry that as this adapter does not fit all lenses at present, we will try our best to update the firmware in future, please see compatibility list of the adapter here: http://www.kipon.com/en/articledetail.asp?id=81
Best Regards, "
