Unmanageable Complexity: Unfit

    Looking around you will see all elites acting weird. But they are weird not only because they are dumb as shit (they are).
    They are weird because they are completely unfit.

    How it happened? Simple. For around 100 years elites did almost nothing to improve life of ordinary people.
    Not nothing at all. But all the orders had been simple - dig more oil and coal, dig more ore, burn them all and build something.
    Same was true for agriculture. Usage of energy and fertilizers allowed to produce huge amount of food and make it cheap.
    But shit finally hit the fan. Resources became more scarce, they are costly. Usual old methods do not work. You need to be specialist, optimize, quickly teach and move big amount of people.
    All elites in each and every country are unfit for it. And they know it.
    Current idea is to lean to each other and use total monitoring and threats to try to prevent inevitable.

    They have all kinds of fear. Btw, I mean mostly elites, biggest part of politicians are service personnel.

    Actual life of politician is mostly miserable, as for most of them it is endless fight for things they do not want and do not like.

    That is one of the best summary of politicos I have read. Summed up in a nutshell.

    But you know better than most, as a Russian, nothing changes without a revolution. It does not always have to be violent. Technology, free love hippies, the pill have all provided social disruptive revolutions. The problem is that elites are indeed dumb, they are now evolved without ears and eyes. But they sure can talk the talk.

    i agree. especially after having taught and witnessing kids being mesmerized with their phones and absolutely not interested in having a conversation about anything.

    Nothing will happen. The noise of war and the noise of "progressivism" and "liberalism" is louder than any slow-pace elites. Nothing will happen and nothing will change, they have the ammo, people don't. And not only that, people think it's progressive and sophisticated to not have any ammo. So - good luck open-minded hippie sharing people. It's a sign of utter weakness and we (regular folks in general) will be squashed by those slow paced elites. Nothing will change.

    It's a special kind of stupid that thinks an entire economy can be managed centrally, efficiently, and not completely corrupted. Elites fit that bill nicely.

    Are you talking about the US, Russia, Greece, Europe, or the entire World? I don't feel we are on the brink of any of this, but I live on South America. We might be on the edge Russia-NATO conflict, but that's not really the same as what this is proclaiming.
