New firmware
Firmware Version 1.1.4 incorporates the following fixes:
Canon vs Third party batteries test
The Canon EOS 6D is an excellent camera for Canon DSLR users who want to step up to a full-frame camera without spending $3500 for the 5D Mark III. This camera combines some of the best Canon technology and features from its surrounding siblings like the 60D and the 5D Mark III and adds Wi-Fi and GPS, two features that require optional accessories on its closest competitor, the Nikon D600.

Yeah, I would strongly advise 6D purchasers if they need video they go the extra bucks to buy the 5DMKIII with its CF & SD slot and shoot RAW. The h264 encoder found on all the new range of Canons still aren't brilliant but Im having a go at improving things. ML need to uncover a bit more about the encoder - theres very little configuration settings available at the moment.
With the availability of raw video, if you're going Canon, I'd strongly suggest one of the cameras with a CF slot if you're looking for the best video quality. Canon used cheap SD slots and while the 6D has the best available in a Canon, it still maxes out at 40MB/s. Older CF cameras (5DII and 50D) can do 60MB/s (though there's no audio on 50D) and the 5DIII can do more than 90MB/s.

As far as whether it's a good decision, that's a question you're going to have to answer for yourself. You should try renting a Canon setup for a weekend and go shoot with it. If you like it, buy one. If not, keep your GH3. It's also a great camera.
