    Best general lens - Samsung 16-50mm F2-2.8

Best super budget solution - YONGNUO 50mm F1.4

  • Did YONGNUO 50mm F1.8 also introduce in 2014? If it is so, then it is also a contender for the best super budget solution.

  • Sigma 18-35 f1.8 (okay you got me...that's a 2013 lens) Sigma 50mm f1.4 - awesome lens.

  • Without a doubt, the Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART is my personal view of the best lens of 2014. Finally, an outstanding 50mm lens with autofocus! The improvement in image quality vs its predecessors is nothing short of astounding.

  • Panasonic/Leica Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 & Voigtländer Nokton 10.5mm f/0.95

  • Olympus 40-150mm ƒ/2.8 M.Zuiko Pro, with matching MC-1.4x teleconverter, is a monster lens.

  • for me it was the the nocticron

  • Rokinon 50mm cine gets my vote for best cine lens, along with the Voigtlander 10.5mm for best MFT.

  • For MFT wide angle, the SLR Magic 10mm T2.1 HyperPrime CINE

  • Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4
I didn't buy one as it is crazy expensive, but it is simply mind-blowing.

IDK if I may count it as a "2014 lens" as it was introduced end of 2013 but not yet available then.

  • Nocticron for m43 format.
