Vitaliy, any other conclusions from ixbt tests for us who dont speak russian?
I suggest to use google translate. I am not fan of their test, suggest to check others. But they made lot of bad samples :-)

I bet Panasonic wishes they hadn’t given him that camera to test. He shouldn’t have used a proto-type camera for a Production shoot though.
watch from 10:30
"The X1000 has a 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor with a total of 18.9 megapixels, although only an 8.3 megapixel center crop is used to create the UHD image. So it's really only using less than half of the already tiny sensor?
Originally this CamCorder was able to do 1080 P120. Is this still available or has the firmware been crippled?
Are there any low light Video samples available? Most of my video work is indoors in poor light.
Anyone have any realistic time frame till this is available in Australia? Yep, want it that bad :)
I have a nice P2 cam, but since last year I began to migrate on dslr m43 cinema/video. Now that migration is almost complete it's nice to see what appens on the video cam side, but I'm not going back, I prefer complicated life
@driftwood thanks dude
@gabilourson My guess is that come early next year in a firmware update .mov modes may well be supported.
Host Mode so you can attach an external hard drive so that you can copy over data to and from the internal cards or view thumbnails of stored clips on the hard disk.
Best was to add ability to record directly on disk.
@fosterchen The unit has full computer mode compatibility with USB 3 Host or Device configurations set on the menu. Device Mode acts as an external device to upload to your NLE system. why does it offers 4K only in MP4 ?
I see it has 2 types of USB 3.0 next to the full HDMI out. Would it be able to connect to a USB3 hard drive directly for transferring files, AND have plug-in power for it? That would be nice!
Looks very very nice. This + one or two GH4s would be a fantastic setup for shooting events.
Rolling shutter must be very good, as it can do 4k at 60fps
Smaller sensor = less rolling shutter? If so, that is important for 4K.
The biggest greatness of this camera is that I am sure it'll be available at discount and refurbished at good price.
For doing fast coverage it is almost ideal thing.
Deep DOF at 4k can be great for many reasons.
Small sensor at 4k means low light performance is probably on the weak side. Interesting camera and a good price.
Everyone has their personal view, but who can say "cinematic language," or the ability to communicate through moving images, only works in one way? That's like saying food is only good if it tastes salty. Give me bitter and sweet and salty and sour and savory, please; not this ancient DOF flame. And frites. Salty frites ;)
It's ok for news and run and gun shots. For 'cinematic language' it's preferable short DOF (IMHO)
Most people do not need any "cinematic language", they need to do their work. Surprise.
Deep DOF that means, everything at focus. It's ok for news and run and gun shots. For 'cinematic language' it's preferable short DOF (IMHO)
in terms of codec quality and sensor size, very superior to Panasonic HC-X1000
It depends. For deep DOF this camera is superior. And for 4K deep DOF is good thing.
