Are online courses worth it?

Hi guys, just wondering if any has had any positive or negative experiences with online film courses? I was looking at this one.. http://www.lightsfilmschool.com/blog/online-cinematography-course/542/

I haven't taken an online film course but did attend a film school. I'll say this much: film is one of those disciplines that's best taught in a hands-on environment with actual equipment that you can learn on. Learning just theory is fine to a point, but eventually you will have to work with the tools too.
