Sure it could minus the aperture control of course. Should function like any other modern Nikon or Canon lens. Adapters with crude aperture control may help a bit

Such a fast zoom, if it has good optical performance it's just amazing.

Very interesting. This could be a very nice lens for Blackmagic EF mount cameras. Hope there is pricing and availability soon.
The 35mm is by far the sharpest / has the most resolving power. Is it the nicest 35? No (IMO) but what Sigma have done is amazing, quite simply. Great price point too. (for the 35)
Amazing. Sigma has been on a ROLL lately. The 35mm f1.4 has been killing it in the reviews, many saying its much better than the zeiss 35mm f1.4
