Hacked Gh2 vs Sony F3 SLog

    What do you guys think? The price on a used F3 is plummeting.... I'm wondering how F3 with Slog, 10bit 4:2:2 stacks up against the hacked GH2. Or the BMC, for that matter. I'm talking in terms of filmic image quality & resolution.

    Any thoughts?

    It really depends on what your needs are - I'd take a BMCC over the F3 if I had my druthers. I've shot GH2 inserts for the F3 (at 24Mbps) and it cut very well. Not tickled about the F3 look for the price - I'd look at an FS100 and save some coin or even look at the C100 which is actually a very nice little cam. BMCC though to properly outfit will run in the $5k plus margin. I'm going to try to do some tests alongside an Alexa with the GH3 in the next month - I'm not expecting the GH3 to win, but detail-wise, I've been very happy.
