monitor attached determines GH2 record mode?

    Is this me or does everyone get this, maybe it was pre hack, but as soon as I plug in a monitor whatever record mode I set previously is ignored and the menu item is greyed out and I can only record 1080i. If I just plug in an HDMI cable with no monitor on the other end I'm still able to select my record mode, if I connect the other end to a monitor the rec mode option goes and 1080i is set. I want to record in 720p but view what I'm doing on my monitor. Mmmm.
