  • Very good Thanks for test. I will make same questions about 55 bicolor light under video on YT if you could know the answers do not hesitate :)

  • CAME F-55S (Bi color, tungsten setting), measurement using Lisun, Russian Lab processing

We cover spectrum, color temperature, and all modern color quality standards, including latest 2016 and 2017 years ones.

Never select light based on just CRI number.

Focus on TM30 and CIE 244 and look for color distortion and Rf values.

CAME F-55S is good light with proper color temperature, light quality is very good and suitable for videos.

  • @konjow

I suggest to make separate topic. As we try to maintain order here.

But it is interesting find, if you ask me I'll prefer this design to CAME cheap one.

  • While waiting for came upgrade I found this and is very tempting. Cant find any additional info tests unfortunately yet https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Portable-High-CIR-Bi-color-80W-LED-Spotlight-for-Camera-Video-Continuous-Light-3200K-5600K-Dimmable/32808223517.html?spm=2114.10010108.1000023.22.FjPdsU

I know its came tread but cant find any recent for led fresnel and or battery ones

  • @konjow

    I agree with you.

Actually it is enough to just check DC report to understand that you need two Sony batteries mounts for such thing.

    Like on this thing http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/16562/fotodiox-popspot-focusable-fresnel-led-

  • I want to get set of them. Considering Im waiting good fow years for reasonable price/quality for fresnel led, I have feeling it is worth wait bit more for upgraded version. Especially Came needs few versions to get it right.

  • @konjow

Sorry for delays, first test items are always hard.

  • "We'll publish our own measurements soon" can't wait.

  • Very interesting videos.

  • Hi guys how do this compare with regular tungsten bulbs light. 55watt is equivalente to 500W or 650W? And de 30watt is equivalent to 250W or 350W?

You want to compare without understanding.

    Check http://www.personal-view.com/faqs/laboratory/measuring-lights-faq

For any real task you want to compare illuminance.

And bare bulbs are not normally used in shooting, except the similar rare case of inside chinese lanterns.

Does it have any green magenta cast?

I'll post extremely detailed answer to this, just wait a little. :-)

  • PV Lab report, Part 3, DC Consumption of 55W Boltzen Led Fresnel

    Sony NP battery

    • 100% brightness consumption at 7.40v is 50,54 watt (6.84A)
    • 50% brightness consumption is 26,9 watt
    • 10% brightness consumption is 6,7 watt
    • minimum brightness consumption is 3,92 watt
    • minimal battery voltage that keep same 100% brightness - around 6.5v
    • cutoff battery voltage - around 5.5v
    • remember to remove battery between shoots, as it can drain battery even in off state!

    For reference

    • NP-F970 battery is rated 7900Mah at 7.4v, 58,5Wh
    • NP-F770 battery is rated 5000Mah at 7.4v, 37,0Wh
    • NP-F550 battery is rated 2900Mah at 7.4v, 21,5Wh

So, it is good idea to use F970.

    Large batteries connector

    • 100% brightness consumption at 14.53v is 48,4 watt (3.3A)
    • cutoff voltage is same 5.5v
    • minimal battery voltage that keep same 100% brightness - around 8.3v
    • while it has 7.5v written it can start with flicker on such voltage
    • use proper batteries with at least 12v voltage for this connection

  • @Aria

I was thinking about perhaps modifying the Bracket with Arri Rosettes to keep things in place. It's just an idea for now but maybe someone can look into that or suggest it to CAME-TV.

They already made this up, but it is not included by default
