    Germany: Fake democracy became obvious
    • A third of Germans believe that they live in a "fictitious democracy". These are the data from a recent survey by the Allensbach Institute.

One of Germany's largest public opinion research institutions, the Allensbach Institute for Demoscopy, has published a representative survey of the population, according to which a third of Germans doubt the German political system.

“The differences between east and west [of Germany] are again striking in this review,” notes Die Welt.

According to the survey, 31% of participants said they live in a "bogus democracy" "in which citizens have nothing to say." At the same time, if in West Germany 28% of respondents think so, then in the East German federal states this opinion is already represented by 45% of respondents.

28% of all Germans believe that the democratic system in Germany should be "fundamentally changed".

Аpp Store and Google Play will leave Russia soon
    • During his speech in the State Duma, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Apple App Store and Google Play app stores could stop working for Russian users. He also stressed the importance of creating a Russian analogue of Google Play.

“The key mobile app stores App Store and Google Play may soon stop allowing you to download applications in the Russian Federation,” Mr. Mishustin said in the State Duma.

The lack of access to the largest app stores, according to the head of government, is a strong argument for developing their Russian alternative. “The Russian online application store on Android should be operational by the summer of this year,” the prime minister said. He also noted that the issue of monetization of Russian Internet platforms is ripe.

EU: Automotive rubber tires production can stop
    • According to the Czech publication iDnes, tire companies have warned dealers that they are running out of raw materials for production. In recent years, Russia has been Europe's main supplier of industrial carbon black, which is used as a filler in rubber compounds in the manufacture of automotive rubber. The share of the Russian Federation in the supply of carbon black reached about 35 percent - the owners of tire brands valued the component for its high quality and reasonable price.

The German Rubber Industry Association (WDK) has warned consumers of a drastic reduction in production. Moreover, the consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, sanctions and counter-sanctions will affect not only the production of wheels. The entire rubber industry is under threat - in particular, the production of automotive hoses and seals. WDK General Director Boris Engelgardt believes that European capacities are not able to compensate for the loss of Russian imports, and logistics does not allow to quickly arrange soot supplies to Europe from other countries.

To understand the seriousness of the situation: soot filler is not at all a whim of automakers, or noir lovers. Soot accounts for a quarter of the mass of a tire. For a century and a half of the production of wheels for various "self-propelled carriages", it has been found that carbon black provides wear resistance and fire resistance of rubber, increases adhesion (traction), which directly affects the safety of the vehicle. The global demand for industrial carbon black far outstrips supply.
