You Can Now Record 6K 24p on the Panasonic S1

Panasonic releases firmware version 2.0 for the Panasonic S1, which introduces new features. Panasonic previously announced major updates to several of its LUMIX series cameras, including the S1H to record Blackmagic RAW, the box-style BG1H getting ProRes RAW, and the S1 receiving several new features including the ability to record 6K and external ProRes RAW. You can now download firmware version 2.0 for the S1. It is worth noting that before you can update to version 2.0, you must have already purchased the DMW-SFU2 update, which is an extra cost of $199. Essentially, it's a software key that unlocks video capabilities on the S1, including 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output, 4K 30p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording, and Panasonic's original V-Log color profile V-Log + V-Gamut from Varicam cinema cameras, among others.
