What to expect next from Nikon and some new hints about announcement dates

After the previously rumored Coolpix P1000 camera and Nikkor AF-S 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR lens were officially announced, here is an updated list of what to expect next from Nikon - there are still 4 already registered but not-yet-announced Nikon cameras (see previous "what to expect posts" here): No news on a potential Nikon D750 replacement, but at least two new high-end cameras are rumored for 2018. Nikon D6 is rumored for 2019 - the D6 trademark is already registered (there will most likely not be a D5s). The long-rumored Nikkor 60mm macro lens is still expected (a new 200mm macro lens is also a possibility: the actual focal length could be less than 200mm but definitely above the current 105mm). After the Nikkor 500mm f/5.6, a new 600mm f/5.6 PF and/or a new 400mm f/5.6 PF lenses are still a possibility. A new high-end compact Nikon camera is still a possibility. Nikon Coolpix A1000 compact camera. Nikon mirrorless camera. I have several hints on potential Nikon official announcement dates: Nikon UK is doing some press briefings first week of August, with an NDA to be signed on the day. Nikon is purchasing advertising in magazines that are supposed to start in mid-August. The new Nikkor AF-S 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR lens could be officially released in early September.
