American lighting manufacturer Westcott recently released one of the most compact 60W bi-color COB LED lights on the market: the Westcott L60-B. You can adjust the color temperature of the light from 2700 to 6500K, it has a very high CRI of 97 and a TLCI of 98, which should give you excellent color accuracy, and you can power it with Sony NP-F style or V-Mount batteries. So let’s take a closer look at this small new competitor in the LED light market! Westcott has been making high-quality photo and video lighting solutions for decades, and they’re well-known for being one of the first companies to make LED tube lights with their Westcott Ice fixture. Also, they expanded their lineup of products with LED mats like the compact and portable Flex Cine mat, which we reviewed. The company is back with its first-ever COB LED light: the Westcott L60-B. Westcott L60-B features The Westcott L60-B is a 60W bi-color COB LED light that is, according to the manufacturer, 20% smaller than its competitors. Indeed, with dimensions of only 3.2 x 3.2 x 5.5″/8.1 x 8.1 x 14cm – without any lighting modifier attached – it can literally fit in the palm of your hand.
