Vision Research Phantom VEO 610 High-Speed Camera Released

Vision Research recently released a new “entry-level” high-speed camera: the Phantom VEO 610. This camera can shoot in HD 720p @ 7420 frames per second and a maximum frame rate of 218.970fps in 320 x 12. Let’s take a closer look at it! Vision Research is well-known for making cameras capable of shooting at very high frame rates. In January, the company launched the Phantom S991, which can shoot in DCI 4K at up to 937 frames per second. The Phantom VEO lineup of cameras is Vision Research’s “entry-level” into the high-speed shooting world. Indeed, Phantom VEO cameras record in lower resolutions and are designed for studio use. From the outside, you can’t tell the difference between the two; Vision Research even used the same pictures from the VEO 1310 for the VEO 610. In a nutshell, the VEO 610 is available in two versions – L (light) and S (full) – depending on your needs. The camera features a 1.2Mpx CMOS sensor with a native 6.400 ISO sensitivity in color and 25.000 ISO in monochrome.
