Vazen 65mm T/2 1.8x Anamorphic Lens for MFT Announced

The Vazen 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic lens for Micro Four Thirds format is finally here, completing the trio of Micro Four Thirds, owner-op priced anamorphic lenses. The 65mm T2 1.8x is the longest in focal length of the three. Let’s take a closer look. Features This lens is most similar to the Vazen 40mm – near identical size, not too much weight difference at 1.68 kg (3.70 lbs.), both T2-T16, 95mm front diameter (the 28mm is much smaller). The most notable difference of the 65mm is the extended minimum focus distance (MFD) – 1.09m/ 3.6 feet (40mm is 0.82m/2.7 feet) – however this is normal for a lens of a longer focal length. For MFD comparison of other anamorphic lenses in a same focal length class: the Kowa P+S 75mm is 1m/3’ and the Orion 65mm is 0.8m/2.5’ (both Super35mm format). 65mm and 40mm similar in size, 28mm much smaller.
