Tilta has just released a new Mini version of their PD (Power Distribution) V-Mount battery plate, which is now smaller and lighter but still compatible with 15mm LWS rod systems. Best suited for compact DSLR and mirrorless cameras, this plate features two D-Tap and two 2-pin LEMO 14.8V power output ports, as well as a USB-C port. So, let’s take a closer look at it! When it comes to rigging a camera, Tilta has a plethora of accessories and solutions available to cover all your needs, from cages, matte boxes, follow focuses, baseplates, top handles, and even power distribution handles, to list a few. Over the years, the company has become a one-stop-shop for many filmmakers and content creators looking for a solid price/feature deal on camera equipment. For a long time, power distribution plates were nearly exclusive to cinema cameras due to their large form factor and relatively high price point. However, these power distribution plates are very convenient because they allow you to power your entire camera rig with only one battery. With the DSLR/mirrorless camera revolution, third-party camera accessory manufacturers started to develop smaller V-Mount batteries, but also smaller and more affordable power distribution plates. Tilta joins the Mini party with an updated version of their bigger PD V-Mount battery plate. Tilta Mini PD V-Mount battery plate.
