Tilta has just introduced a new set of mechanical and electronic accessories that are specifically designed for the Sony VENICE 1 and 2. It includes a top plate, top handle, side arms, 15mm LWS baseplate with rods, and a battery plate. It retails for $1,650. First announced in November last year, the Sony VENICE 2 (Lab Test here) is the company’s flagship motion picture camera. Just like the original model, the VENICE 2 recently got a new extension system that allows its image sensor to be detached from the actual camera body. Talking about the body, the form factor of the VENICE 2 is slightly different from that of its predecessor. Indeed, the camera is a little more compact and lighter, and features a fully flat bottom design. This fact forced ARRI to revise their accessories for the camera, and now Tilta is coming up with a whole set of mechanical and electronic add-ons for the VENICE 2. Let’s take a closer look.
