This rare Nikkor-O Auto 58mm f/1 lens sold for €187,500 (around $182k) at the last Wetzlar Camera Auction in Germany – the highest price ever paid for a Nikon lens (more info available here): “The only Nikkor-O Auto 58 mm f/1 known to us to date, with serial number 580101. The serial number is probably a combination of the information for the focal length and the aperture stop, as well as the consecutive number 1 for the very first lens of this Series.
