In what might eventually go into the history books as the most minor camera update of all time, Sony has quietly released a new camera. The Sony FX3a is pretty much exactly the same as the previous Sony FX3. So much so that there wasn’t the usual standard press release from the company, and outside of Sony’s own website it doesn’t look like any retailers are changing the name of this new camera.Still, it’s worth covering, especially if you’re a Sony shooter or fan and interested in knowing all of the exciting details about the oh-so-minor changes set to be introduced with the Sony FX3a—so let’s check those out!Introducing the Sony FX3aBasically, the only changes of note between the Sony FX3 and the Sony FX3a are minor hardware and LCD panel resolution changes.
