Sony sets date for a7S III launch event. After years of rumors, leaks, questions, and complaints, Sony has officially confirmed Tuesday, July 28 at 10 EDT / 7 PDT will be the launch day for the much talked about a7S III. When the Sony a7S II arrived five years ago, it impressed videographers and still shooters alike. Since the rollout of the a7 III and the a7R IV, the Sony a7S III hype train has been steady. Even with rumors of what it could potentially feature, it's not exactly known for sure. What we do know comes from an interview with Sony's Kenji Tanaka, who it will include 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, and that RAW recording is a consideration.
