You need not be 21+ to read this interview. In the canon of YouTube successes, Drunk History is nearly unparalleled. When Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner created the show, in 2007, YouTube had only been around for two years. There was no roadmap. The platform was the new frontier of digital media. How to game it was anybody's guess. It began with a drunken story. Waters and his friend, Jake Johnson (The New Girl), were drinking one night when the actor, then relatively unknown, started recounting the tale of Otis Redding's demise.
