In the first episode of the SIGMA and Rosco cinematography challenge, hosted by Graham Ehlers Sheldon, the LA-based DP Eduardo Ramirez tries to light and film a commercial scene using SIGMA cine prime lens and Rosco lights in under 30 minutes. Graham Ehlers Sheldon, a long-time CineD contributor, and Emmy-winning producer-DP based in southern California, presents a new cinematography challenge on CineD. The challenge is sponsored by SIGMA and Rosco and as the brands’ ambassador, Graham is hosting the series. The idea behind it is to invite a different DP for each episode and have him or her film a certain scene using SIGMA and Rosco products under time pressure – more on the rules of the challenge can be found later in the article. The important message is to see the creative decisions of each DP so that the viewers perhaps learn a thing or two. SIGMA and Rosco cinematography challenge ep1 – Graham and Eduardo There are in total three episodes which we are going to release on a weekly basis. In this first episode, Graham invited Eduardo Ramirez – a DP of Colombian origin based in LA who works mostly in feature films and commercials. His previous work includes, for instance, the 2015 series Narcos, on Netflix.
