Despite critically acclaimed films Women Talking directed by Sarah Polley, The Woman King directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, and Till directed by Chinonye Chukwu being released in 2022, the Golden Globes filled the 10 film categories in Best Director, Best Picture in Drama, and Best Picture in Comedy will all-male filmmakers.
