Teradek recently announced a new solution for transmitting video and audio from any HDMI device over the air to an accompanying transmitter. Meet the Teradek Spark 4K! Both the transmitter and receiver are HDMI only, but they feature a range of up to 500ft / 152m line-of-sight transmission, up to 4Kp30 HDR 10-bit 4:2:2 and each TX can connect to two RX units. The new Teradek Spark 4k seems to be quite a versatile set of devices (TX/RX) as they not only process video and audio, but also offer specs like 4kp30, HDR and 10-bit 4:2:2. On the audio side, the Spark 4K can handle up to 48kHz 24-bit PCM streams. Teradek Spark 4K The transmitter can be powered in two ways: Either via a USB-C jack or, even more versatile, via its own internal battery, which is said to last 90-120 minutes. No more unreliable HDMI cable runs from camera to monitor! Once the signal is transmitted, the resulting video is visually lossless, according to Teradek.
