Sony has recently released an online camera simulator that allows you to get comfortable with the menu system of the VENICE 2. The tool is now available for free on the manufacturer’s website and lets you choose between the 8.6K and 6K sensor options. The Sony VENICE 2 is the company’s flagship cinema camera. First announced in November 2021, this CineAlta camera comes with two full-frame sensor options, 8.6K or 6K. It will help professionals working in the industry become familiar with this tool without the need to rent it out for a day. Let’s take a closer look. Personally, I found the ARRI Camera Simulators extremely useful when first approaching their products years ago. Also, the Donna app (iOS only) allowed me to dive deeper into the menu system of RED DSMC 2 cameras at a time when I didn’t have access to them.
