Anamorphic lenses have been popular for a long time. Primarily used in Hollywood movies and especially loved for their stylish flares, they also have a reputation for not being the most practical choice. SIRUI has set out to change this with the Saturn 35mm T2.9 1.6x. Anamorphic lenses used to be rental-only pieces of glass for a long time. But, thankfully for independent content creators, some companies like SIRUI made owning genuine anamorphic lenses a dream come true. A couple of months ago, SIRUI launched the JUPITER 1.6x full-frame anamorphic lenses on Indiegogo and the campaign was successfully funded (at 11.832% if we want to be precise!). We also had a chance to take a first look at the 35mm, 100mm, and anamorphic adapter during IBC 2022. Now SIRUI is back with the Saturn 35mm T2.9 1.6x, a lighter full-frame anamorphic lens that you can mount on a drone or the DJI Ronin 4D. SIRUI Saturn 35mm features The SIRUI Saturn 35mm T2.9 1.6x Carbon Fiber anamorphic lens is available in Sony E-Mount, Canon RF, and DJI’s DL mount. Although the weight of the lens varies by mount, all versions come in at 425g/0.94lbs or less.
