SIGMA’s line of autofocus cine lenses is finally becoming a reality! With today’s announcement, we’re not only getting the previously teased SIGMA 28-45mm T2 full-frame autofocus cine lens, but also a 28-105mm T3 version. While details are still limited, here’s what we know so far. When we last mentioned the SIGMA 28-45mm T2 full-frame autofocus lens at IBC 2024, the company was still seeking user feedback to determine whether such a product was worth pursuing. We’re genuinely pleased to see that the feedback from potential users was positive. According to the company, these cine versions combine years of optical design expertise with the latest development technologies and their advanced manufacturing techniques.
