Two new Samyang lenses are now available for Sony and Canon shooters. Samyang, Rokinon—whichever brand name you prefer to call it—has introduced two new lenses that include a AF 24mm F2.8 full frame for Sony E-mount and a AF 85mm F1.4 EF for Canon EF mount. The new AF 85mm F1.4 EF lens is an all-metal construction, ergonomically designed for Canon full frame sensors. Optically, it's constructed from nine elements in seven groups with 1 Hybrid aspherical lens. It's nine blade aperture offers a pretty good looking bokeh and exceptional center resolution. When using a APS-C sensor, the lens is a 136mm equivalent telephoto. The company also added its Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) to reduce ghosting and lens flare. What's nice about the portrait-friendly lens is its compact size and weight. It comes in at 2.8" (7.2cm) in length and under 17 oz (485g), which is exceptionally small.
