RED has just released a new RF to PL lens mount adapter for its DSMC3 cameras. It features solid construction, offers support for i/ lens data communication and can be screwed to the KOMODO and V-RAPTOR bodies via dedicated support brackets. An electronic ND version of the adapter is also coming soon. Upon launching the standard V-RAPTOR (make sure to watch our Lab Test video here) back in September 2021, RED also announced the advent of an RF-PL lens mount with an integrated electronic ND filter system. While this long-awaited accessory seems to be right around the corner, a standard version of the adapter is already out now. Joining a plethora of third-party options from manufacturers such as KipperTie and Wooden Camera, just to name a few, it allows users to adapt cinema-style Positive-Lock mount lenses to the DSMC3 cameras’ native RF mount.
