New firmware update for Panasonic's EVA1 is an exciting addition to this already powerful camera. EVA1, the 5.7K Super 35 Cinema Camera from Panasonic, was shrouded in darkness at last years NAB, but has been shipping since October of last year. Panasonic has been very busy with this camera and has already rolled out a new firmware 2.0 update, which allows for RAW output, 5.7K 30fps, 4K 60fps, and 2K 240fps. Atomos Shogun Inferno and Sumo 19 received a firmware update to record the 5.7 RAW output from the EVA1. The update also provided the new All -I codecs, which creates bigger files but is easier for your computer to read than the previous LongGOP (which is still an option to use if you don't want the All-I).
