Panasonic Cameras Can Now Live Stream on macOS

Panasonic has released a macOS version of its webcam utility, along with minor updates for several LUMIX cameras. Panasonic has announced the availability of its software that turns compatible mirrorless cameras into webcams for Mac. Similar to the PC version released in June, the LUMIX Streaming (Beta) utility works in the same manner, but for those running macOS X 10.11, 10.12, 10.13, or 10.13. Panasonic points out 10.5 Catalina is still under verification. The software is based on the LUMIX Tether utility, and in LIVE VIEW mode creates a clean output for a webcam feed supporting the GH5S, GH5, G9, S1H, S1R, and S1 cameras. The software is available to download via Panasonic's live streaming support page. Additionally, Panasonic revealed the development of LUMIX Webcam software, which allows LUMIX cameras to be used as a webcam over USB for live streaming as well as video conferencing. The software is said to be compatible with GH5S, GH5, G9, G100, S1H, S1R, and S1 mirrorless cameras. It's expected to be released for Windows in September and in October for macOS. Read More...
