On Sunday the 95th Academy Awards once again gathered filmmakers at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to praise the best works from the past year. The ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and included several first-time winners, a couple of comebacks, and – as always – plenty of emotional moments. And the Oscar goes to… This famous phrase preceded the announcements in 23 different categories. More than others, the stage belonged to the makers of “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, an A24 multiverse feature. They took home seven awards in total, including the desired prize for Best Picture. On the top of the Oscar 2023 winners list A bizarre (in a good way) and astonishingly spectacular comedic drama, directed by the Daniels duo, had the most success during the Oscar evening. In addition to the top award, „Everything Everywhere All at Once” won prizes for its direction, original screenplay, and editing, as well as for some of the actors’ performances. In particular, Michelle Yeoh, who impersonated the main character Evelyn, became the first-ever Asian woman to receive the Best Actress award.
