Only 1000 Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR lenses are produced every month

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR lens has been out of stock since it was announced in August 2018 (I am lucky to have one). Nikon Japan already issued several apologizes on the lens shortage. A few months ago Amazon removed the order option for the Nikkor 500mm f/5.6E and the lens no longer appears in Amazon's search results. A reader recently sent me a screenshot from the German NPS website that states the monthly production capacity of the 500mm f/5.6 lens is limited to approximately 1000 lenses: Previous coverage and reviews of the new 500mm f/5.6E lens can be found here. Check pricing and availability at: US: Adorama | B&H | Amazon | BuyDig UK: Amazon UK | WEX | Park Camera Germany: Amazon.de | Calumet.de Australia: CameraPro Canada: Camera Canada The post Only 1000 Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR lenses are produced every month appeared first on Nikon Rumors.
