Nikon Z9 Firmware 5.30 Released – Expanded Subject Detection, Focus Limiter, and Flexible Color Picture Control

Nikon has released firmware version 5.30 for its flagship Z9 mirrorless camera, delivering significant autofocus improvements, expanded subject detection capabilities across additional AF-area modes, a new in-camera focus limiter, and support for Flexible Color Picture Controls via NX Studio. This expansion gives photographers more flexibility in how they select and track their intended subjects while maintaining the precision of smaller focus points. For video recording, subject detection is now also available in Single-point AF mode. Nikon Z9.
