Nikon Small World in Motion video competition winners

The winners of the Nikon Small World in Motion video competition were announced (the photo competition winners can be found here): 1st place: Emerging Acropora muricata (staghorn coral) polyp (coral tissue in green; algae in magenta) by Dr. Philippe P. Laissue 2nd place: Vampyrophrya (parasite) tomites swimming rapidly around within the body of the dead copepod host by Dr. Richard R. Kirby 3rd place: Stylonychia (microorganism) creating a water vortex using its cilia by Tommy Gunn and Jesse Gunn 4th place: Two freshwater tardigrades feeding on another tardigrade by Dr. Hunter N.
