Nikon and MRMC pull out of NAB 2020 over coronavirus concerns. After AJA Video Systems announced it will not be attending NAB 2020, Nikon and MRMC have decided to not attend the Las Vegas event expected to take place April 18-22. In a released statement, the company stated, "Nikon's first priority is always the health and safety of our employees, partners and customers. As we continue to closely monitor and gauge the impact of COVID-19, Nikon Inc. and MRMC, a Nikon Group company, have made the decision not to participate in NAB 2020. We will continue to closely evaluate our travel policies, programs and activities to mitigate risk." As of March 5, 2020, NAB organizers say the show is "proceeding as planned" and its organizers are "moving forward responsibly," taking direction from the WHO and CDC. For now, NAB is standing behind the fact there isn't a restriction on travel notices or public gatherings in the U.S. However, the number of events that have been canceled or switched to online-only across America has been steadily growing since the outbreak.
