New LUMIX S Firmware Delivers Dramatically Better Heat Control

Sadly, despite (or perhaps because of) all of the latest advancements in camera technology, overheating is still an issue from time to time. To be fair, it is still quite rare compared to the early days of DSLRs and the myriad of tricks out there to overcrank your cameras to get the highest recording specs possible.But overheating does still happen. Panasonic has announced new firmware updates for the LUMIX S1RII, the S1II, and the S1IIE, which will offer improved heat management, which should help allow for longer (more sustainable) maximum video recording times.
