Less than two years ago, NANLITE announced the PavoTube II X, and now they have announced the PavoTube II XR, adding support for LumenRadio CRMX, which greatly expands remote controllability of these fixtures. Let’s take a closer look. LED-based RGB(WW) tubes have revolutionized lighting for film over the last few years, and NANLITE has been at the forefront of this development with their original PavoTube, which was introduced five years ago at an aggressive price point. In 2021, we saw the introduction of the next generation, the PavoTube II X, which enhanced the product greatly in many ways (color rendition and accuracy, connectivity and so much more). The great thing about RGBWW LEDs is that illumination is really consistent across the super-wide color temperature and RGB spectrums (we’re talking about a whopping CCT range of 2700K-12000K here!).
