The MUTINY RAPTOR IO is a port expander and power distribution module that is specifically designed for RED’s 8K flagship camera. Coming in both V-mount and Gold mount options, it is now available to pre-order for $1,200. The RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV camera recently visited our headquarters and we run it through its paces in our Lab Test. Compared to the studio-oriented V-RAPTOR XL, which features a unified body with all sorts of professional I/O and power connections, the standard V-RAPTOR is a little more limited in this regard. For this reason, MUTINY came up with the RAPTOR IO module. Let’s take a closer look at it! MUTINY RAPTOR IO for RED V-RAPTOR: features The MUTINY RAPTOR IO is an expansion module that attaches to the back of the V-RAPTOR body, multiplying the camera’s input/output and power ports. The accessory connects directly to the camera’s EXT port via a low-profile 9-pin right-angled cable.
