Last year, MUTINY launched an impressive V-RAPTOR port expander plate. Ahead of Cine Gear 2023, the company teased an updated version compatible with the RED KOMODO/KOMODO-X and the V-RAPTOR: the MUTINY KX-IO. Image credit: MUTINY MUTINY KX-IO features The MUTINY KX-IO is an expander and power plate, which attaches directly to the back of the RED KOMODO, KOMODO-X, and V-RAPTOR. At the time of writing, there is little information about it, but here are all the ports, power input, and outputs ports it’ll give you: One record button, a tally, and one Fischer 3-pin R/S + power port. A GEN, TC, CTRL, and EXT pass-through ports. Multiple power input and output ports, including three 2-pin 11-17V LEMO power outputs, two D-Tap power outputs, and one DC power input. Inside the MUTINY KX-IO, there is a 6A Digital Fuse if you exceed the maximum power draw. Also, the KX-IO features an anti-battery drain switch.
