Japanese company Musashi Optical System Co. has announced a new high-end cine zoom lens to complement its existing Takumi 1 40.6 – 332mm T4.8 FF zoom lens. The new Takumi 2 cine zoom ranges from 29-120mm, covers full-frame sensors and features a fast T2.9 aperture. While the Takumi 1 knew how to impress with its massive 8.18x zoom ratio, the new Takumi 2 has another ace up its sleeve: A very fast T2.9 aperture (as opposed to the Takumi 1’s T4.8). Such a fast aperture is pretty impressive for a 4.14x zoom lens. Let’s take a quick look at this new offering by Musashi-Opt. The already available Takumi 1 40.6 -332mm T4.8.
