Meike Adds 8mm Wide Angle Cine Lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount

APS-C sensors are is still alive and kicking with new focal length options. Meike has made an 8mm T2.9 available for pre-order that covers APS-C sensors, including the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and Panasonic LUMIX G-series cameras, but the caveat is it's only available in Micro Four Thirds mount. The lens features cine-friendly housing, complete with standard 0.8 mod gears for both iris and focus, a common 86mm filter thread, and a generous 270° focus throw. Speaking of focus, it is a manual lens, so bear that in mind. Optically, it's constructed from 12 elements in seven groups and features a 10-blade aperture design. As you might expect with a focal length of this size, it features a wide field of view: diagonal 108.6°, horizontal 96°, and vertical 80°.
