Meike has just announced a new lens in their Cine Lens lineup for mirrorless cameras: the Meike 35mm T/2.2. This manual lens is available in various lens mounts, including MFT, Sony E-Mount, and FUJIFILM X-Mount. Let’s take a closer look at it. Image credit: Meike Meike 35mm T/2.2 Cine Lens The Chinese manufacturer Meike has just announced the Meike 35mm T/2.2 Cine Lens. As its name suggests, this lens is part of their Cine lineup of glasses, which now consists of a 12mm, 16mm, 25mm, and 35mm, all with a maximum aperture of T/2.2. The Meike Cine lenses are available in Sony E-Mount, FUJIFILM X-Mount, and MFT – except for the 12mm and 16mm, which are only available in MFT mount. The Meike Cine lenses. Image credit: Meike The Meike 35mm T/2.2 is entirely made out of metal, and the focus/aperture rings have standard 0.8 mod/32 pitch gears. The focus ring has a focus throw of 270 degrees, so you shouldn’t have any issues when using it with a manual/wireless follow focus. In terms of lens design, there are ten elements in eight groups for a total weight of around 1.45 lbs/660 grams. The minimum focus distance is 0.51m. Also, the lens is relatively compact, with a total length of only 80mm. If you want, you can screw filters directly to the front element that features a diameter of 77mm.
