LumenArc just introduced the Active Diffusion frames a few weeks ago. Available in two different sizes, these electronically adjustable light diffusion frames come with a hand-held controller that holds V-Mount batteries. You can modify the diffuser’s opacity to control the level of diffusion for your specific shot. At this year’s NAB we had the chance to talk to Brian Lang from LumenArc who showed us a demo of this brand-new product. Let’s take a closer look at these lighting modifiers! In 2017, we had already witnessed electronically adjustable light diffusion when Zylight partnered up with Chimera, bringing this technology to the market for the first time. The result was first displayed at Cine Gear 2017. Now, 6 years later, we are seeing a completely new and rather unique light modifier.
