Libec JB40 Compact Jib with High Payload Capacity

Libec recently released the JB40, a compact jib that can be mounted to a 75/100mm bowl tripod very quickly and that can take payloads up to 20Kg/44lbs. Let’s take a closer look at it! Libec has been manufacturing tripods/gimbals/camera bags for 70 years now. Recently, we saw a couple of new products from the Japanese manufacturer, including the NX lineup of camera tripods and the REC-LA remote for Atomos recorders. Image credit: Libec Libec JB40 – Features The new Libec JB40 replaces the JB-30 that was introduced nearly ten years ago. This new model features the same 20kg/44lbs payload capacity, and it weighs the same at 10kg/22lbs for the arm only. Image credit: Libec The concept of the JB lineup of jibs is that you can mount them on your regular set of 100mm bowl sticks. However, you better have a beefy set of legs that can handle the total amount of weight that can quickly tick the scale at 40/50Kg if you have a heavy camera package that requires many counterweights to be balanced. Image credit: Libec At the end of the JB40 jib arm, you can mount any 100mm bowl tripod head, but the kit also comes with a 75mm to 100mm bowl adapter.
