Venus Optics, the company behind Laowa, has just announced that four of its lenses are now available in L-Mount: the Laowa 4mm F/2.8 Fisheye, Laowa 9mm F/2.8 Zero-D, Laowa 24mm F/14 2x Macro Probe, and Laowa 25mm F/2.8 2.5–5x Ultra Macro lenses. Lens manufacturer Laowa is known for making high-quality and unusual manual lenses for photo and video applications. Earlier last year, the company already released six of its lenses in L-Mount. Today, the company is back with the addition of four new lenses in L-Mount. Image credit: Laowa Laowa 4mm F/2.8 Fisheye L-Mount The first new Laowa L-Mount lens is the Laowa 4mm F/2.8 Fisheye, which is already available in Micro Four Third, Canon EF-M, FUJIFILM X, and Sony E-Mount. On an APS-C or full-frame camera, the black part should be quite large, but it’s a fun lens to play with! The lens design consists of seven elements in six groups, with a seven-blade aperture diaphragm.
