iodyne “Workflow Kitchen” Launched – iPhone Filmmaking and Pro Data Workflows

iodyne has introduced a workflow that turns iPhones into a multi-cam studio. The setup shows how to capture 4K ProRes from multiple iPhones at once, recording directly to RAID-protected Pro Data. The approach avoids the usual offloading steps and keeps files secure and organized from the start. Let’s take a look! Recently, we reviewed the iodyne USB-4 / Thunderbolt Pro Cables. We’ve also previously covered iodyne’s role in mobile and hybrid workflows, including their appearance at NAB 2025 with USC’s Entertainment Technology Center. The data workflow recipe builds on that foundation, showing how Pro Data can be used for professional iPhone productions. Head over here to see a review of the iodyne Pro Data 48TB. And if you want to see how it all works together and get an idea of how the projects are being put into practice, have a look at the video below. Pro Data in real productions The configuration was put to the test in the USC ETC project, capturing four cameras in 4K ProRes HQ at 59.94 fps. At the center of the setup was iodyne Pro Data, available in capacities starting at 12TB. Built for high-bandwidth capture, it handles multiple streams without dropouts while RAID-6 protection keeps media secure and redundant. Built-in encryption protects files on set, and direct tethering removes the need for copy or offload steps. For DITs, that means immediate access for quality control instead of waiting for transfers. iPhone workflows.
