Middle Earth is going to look so good in 4K! This just in, the six Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films are making their Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray debut just in time for Christmas. Pints at the Prancing Pony to celebrate! According to Film Stories, the series will be arriving at the start of December. At the moment it’s unclear whether both the theatrical and extended cuts are getting the 4K treatment. The site says that The Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers, Return Of The King, An Unexpected Journey, The Desolation Of Smaug, and The Battle Of The Five Armies will all be available on December 3rd in Germany.
